Services

Chiropractic Manipulation

In general, chiropractic treatment involves manual manipulations or adjustments to the spine. Using precise manipulation of joints and muscles, chiropractors restore good communication between the brain and the rest of the body through the spine. Patients enjoy significant relief from pain and improved mobility with continued chiropractic care.

What makes holistic chiropractic care unique is the personalized treatment every individual receives. Holistic treatments do not use a one-size-fits-all system but tailor medical care to suit a person’s particular needs. Holistic chiropractors understand that the causes and characteristics of pain are different for everyone and are best treated as such.

Dr. John employs an effective combination of nutritional therapies and specific spinal manipulations so that patients can enjoy better recovery results and lessen the likelihood of future complications.

Muscle Testing

Muscle testing is also known as applied kinesiology (AK) or manual muscle testing (MMT). It is an alternative medicine practice that claims to effectively diagnose structural, muscular, chemical, and mental ailments.

Applied kinesiology is not a part of the science of kinesiology, which is the study of the movement of the human body. The basic idea behind AK is similar to one of Sir Isaac Newton’s Laws of Motion, which states, “for every action in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

Applied kinesiology takes this concept and applies it to the human body. This means that any internal issues you may be experiencing would be accompanied by a related muscle weakness.

Following this thought process, you should be able to perform a muscle test to evaluate most underlying health issues. Dr. John assesses 70-80 individual reflex points in order to determine where a specific problem originates in the body.

Nutrition Counseling

According to a study from the National Institute of Health, 80% of chiropractors from a New York State study reported using nutritional counseling in their practice. Why? Below are several reasons why chiropractic and nutritional counseling go hand in hand.

Chiropractors often provide care for people with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions like arthritis, diabetes, scoliosis, hypothyroidism, and allergies. D.R. Seaman’s article “The Diet-Induced Pro-Inflammatory State: A Cause of Chronic Pain and Other Degenerative Diseases,” published in the journal Manipulative Physiological Therapy, states that a “substantial amount of research exists to suggest that dietary changes reduce systemic inflammation which, in turn, alleviates pain and other clinical symptoms caused by inflammation.”

Also, according to a study by the Colorado National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, eating more organic fruits and vegetables, healthy fats, and omega-3 fatty acids, combined with avoiding processed foods and drinking more water, helps to reduce inflammation, which can help relieve the symptoms of autoimmune conditions.

Dr. John analyzes and interprets blood test results in order to identify issues with blood sugar, immune response, nutritional deficiencies, inflammation, thyroid, and cardiovascular health and will work with you to identify a nutrition plan which reduces inflammation and supports whole-body wellness, health, and healing.
